Five-Day Basic ISL Training for DDRS-supported special schools
We’re thrilled to share that the Five-Day Basic Indian Sign Language (ISL) Training for DDRS-supported special schools’ educators and teachers (North Region) has been successfully conducted from 21st – 27th May 2025!
Over 95 dedicated teachers participated in this enriching training session, held by the Indian Sign Language Research and Training Centre (ISLRTC) in collaboration with the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD), Government of India.
The week was filled with:
- ISL alphabet & numbers
- Everyday classroom vocabulary
- Deaf culture & communication etiquette
- Hands-on training sessions
- Resource kits & digital materials for all
